Iron Workers Local 25 Celebrates Remarkable Anniversary

Iron Workers Local 25, the largest local in the International Union, announced the celebration of its 122nd Anniversary this week.

Formed at a time when America was replacing wood and stone with steel as the primary load-carrying material for bridges and buildings, the Iron Workers Local 25 was chartered on July 18, 1901- unifying iron workers and creating protections and support for the “cowboys in the sky.”

With an inspirational motto, “What we have built we will fight to defend,” Iron Workers Local 25 has an impressive history fighting for better wages, worker health and safety standards.

Based in Novi, Michigan, Iron Workers Local 25 currently has nearly 4,000 members.
