Full-Stack PHP Developer

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Full-Stack PHP Developer. The Full-Stack PHP Developer will be working on our cloud-based Apprenticeship Program Management Platform for apprenticeships and will be responsible for designing and implementing both the front-end and back-end components of the platform. The Full-Stack PHP Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform effectively meets business requirements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and familiar to working on a start-up environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency with PHP and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of modern CSS frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Materialize, etc.)
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
  • Experience with front-end development (HTML5/CSS, jQuery, ReactJS)
  • Experience with back-end development and MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.)
  • Understanding of RESTful API Design
  • Experience with MySQL, database design and optimization
  • Proficiency in Git and Github workflows
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing applications in a cloud-based environment preferred
  • Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud services preferred
